The Genesis Awards- Fighting for Animal Rights

Though I have juggled careers - reporter, lawyer, now FSO, one constant is my commitment to raising awareness about animal rights. It is lovely to be in Brazil witnessing major advances in the movement. And, in some small way, I am contributing with our volunteer programs.

When I was a reporter, I had a wonderful boss who believed in my stories and gave me almost  unfettered freedom to tell them.  This was the result- a Genesis Award. The Humane Society of the United States holds these awards in Beverly Hills each year to honor entertainers and reporters.

This was one of my proudest moments.
